Church Festivals – Christmas

As would be expected, the Christmas period has been a busy one for the Church, and also a busy one for Christmas parties for the children. The church diary from 1970 highlights what would happen in the lead up to Christmas.

Christmas services would include the Midnight Communion service, and the Bell Ringers would also ring in the New Year – even if the Rugby Advertiser reporter in 1907 doubted too many villagers would have stayed up to welcome in the New Year.

For a while there was a New Year’s Party for the Children – but with a Christmas theme = here is a Rugby Advertiser report from 1931.
