Various documents were produced during the first part of the 20th Century to document the transfer of property from the 6th Duke of Buccleuch to his heir the Earl of Dalkeith in 1910, and then the onward sale to Samuel Waring in 1917 prior to the main property auction in June 1918. The sale catalogue for the auction went into great detail about the properties, and included various maps. Key information from the initial transfers has been captured and is documented here, via a series of linked pages, illustrating the properties in question, the tenants prior to these transactions, as well as the ownership going forwards.
